Step 1: Sign Up for an Account and Login

1) Register for a Free Auctioneer Account

2) Login to your new account (the login form is always available at the top of GimmeAuctions.com)

3) Click Add Auction link in your toolbar

Step 2: Add the Basic Details

Here is a list of what is needed for each auction you list on GimmeAuctions.com.

Auction Title

Give your auction a unique and meaningful Title that showcases what’s in the listing. For Example: Use the title “Cape Cod on 3 Acres with Many Antiques and Collectibles” instead of “Real Estate Auction”. This lets people know what you are mainly selling at a glance.

Date and Time

Date

This is the date your auction occurs. If your auction lasts longer than 1 day, click on Multiple Day Auction to select more than one date.

Time

The starting time of your auction.

Repeating Auction?

Choose if your auction repeats on a Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly schedule, then enter an End Date. Your auction listing will repeat on GimmeAuctions.com using the terms selected until its end date.

Address

Enter the address of the auction. If the address is valid, GimmeAuctions places a map on your listing automatically.

Type of Auction

An auction can be one or more types. Please select only the correct type for your auction.

Categories

As with Type of Auction, an auction can be in one or more categories. Please select the correct categories for your auction.

Content of Listing

Type out the contents of your auction here. To get the best results for your listing, (do this). For Example: Instead of “” use “” Most auctioneers just Cut and Paste their listing from their other advertisements.

Step 3: Adding Photos

Photos are an important part your auction. GimmeAuction’s photo upload tool makes it easy to add photos to your listing. You can upload 1 or more photos at once.

1) Click Add Photos

2) Choose Photos to Upload
Browse to the location of the photos on your hard drive. If you wish to select more than one photo at a time, hold CTRL on your keyboard while clicking additional photos.

Once uploaded you can rename your photos, add descriptions, feature items, and spotlight a photo.

Image Options

To edit options for each photo, click on the thumbnails in the Uploaded Photos.

Featured Item

Featuring a photo in your listing adds a link to that item in a Featured Item list within your auction listing.

Spotlight this Photo

The spotlighted photo appears at the top of your auction listing and on your listing in search results. You may choose only one Spotlight Photo.

Title

Uploaded photos maintain their filenames as their titles. Sometimes this is not a descriptive name and should be changed to reflect the content of the photo.

Description

A description is suggested to make your photos easier to find for a user searching auctions. This is useful especially if there is more than one item in the photo.

Step 4: Publish your Listing

1) Double check all your information is correct. (You may edit your auction later if need be.)

2) Click Publish this Listing

Be patient. Do NOT leave GimmeAuctions.com until you get preview of your listing.
